Jeff’s Custom Motorized Bike: A Schwinn Build With A Twist

For this motorized bike Jeff bought a bike brand new bicycle from Wal-Mart and decided to ride it while we were waiting on the 66 cc bike engine kit to arrive. This was so he could determine any adjustments, or changes that had to be made in order to make the bike ready for the 35-40 MPH he was hoping the motorized bike would go.

Well, the very day that the bicycle engine kit arrived on my doorstep, he called me saying that before we motorized his ride, he wanted an aftermarket springer front fork added for the little bit of comfort it could provide.

He chose a Grubee Skyhawk for his motorized bike, so never got to the 40 MPH milestone…the little 49.5 cc gas motor just wouldn’t get there. BUT, he did really love that bike, though I haven’t seen or heard from him in years…
